Join Flagstaff Poetry Slam for a special Saturday night of spoken word featuring Valence, an Arizona poet and multidisciplinary artist who has been performing poetry since 2010.
Over the years, Valence has traveled throughout the country to connect with poetry communities he considers his tribe. His work explores spirituality, reckoning with the past, identity, and the ongoing search for meaning and substance in a chaotic world.
As always, Flagslam is an all-ages, free-speech event, and slam sign-ups are open to the public. Poets will compete for cash prizes for first, second, and third place.
